This poem reflects my experience with infatuation, pacing in new love, and transmuting old patterns into vital experiences.

I know I want you
All the texts say wanting leads to suffering
But I do
The stories and programming in me
Say that you are my one and only
The mother of my child
The wife to my life
But the truth is, I know I want you
I brace for pain
Don't want her
I say
I brace for heartbreak and rejection
All the texts say wanting leads to suffering
But I do, I know I want you
So if the timing is wrong
If you are not my one and only
I won't be lonely, I will let
This energy rise
To want is to live fully
There is no choice in want
To yearn or pine is a choice
To misinterpret my signals of want
Into need
Is to distort this kundalini rising
To force the snake into a foreign den
Today I will let the serpent express itself fully
A tender intensity
Slithering into shakes and shivers up my spine
So thank you Want
And thank you K***
Thank you A****
For showing me how many times
I have misinterpreted the
First step of
The divine union
